Arròs

A reflection on the exploitation of natural spaces, through the lens of dance and circus.

‘Arròs’ is a show for all audiences that invites us to reflect, through circus and dance, on the environmental problems of protected areas and water scarcity. Taking the natural space of the Albufera de València as a base, tradition, nature and work in the agricultural environment are presented as support to build a better and sustainable future for all.

About the company

It was founded in 2022 by Miguel Barreto and Anna Mateu, with the intention of transgressing their personal language and investigating with the professional background of each one. Circus and contemporary dance will be the bases of their physical work to undertake the scenic interests of both, understanding movement as an unavoidable form of research and creative expression.
