Ákri

At the foot of the ladder, everything remains to be done. The goal is to reach the top, and in between, absurdity come to life.

Ákri is the solo show in which a 22-step staircase is the main protagonist. This piece merges acrobatics with theatrical and clown techniques to explore the concepts of threshold and transformation. The show invites the audience to go on an emotional journey with the protagonist while reflecting on change and transition, showing the art of circus as a universal form of expression.

Manel Rosés is a Barcelona-born acrobat trained at the Stockholm University of the Arts' School of Dance and Circus (DOCH), whose work focuses on the body, play, and human issues. Rosés considers circus an art form that can connect with all kinds of audiences, and he demonstrates that in direct, simple shows. He has created his own productions and collaborated with different companies
