"Ákri" is a circus solo by an acrobat and a ladder that explores the concept of "threshold." The ladder, which serves as both a circus apparatus and a piece of set design, represents a transitional space between two areas while also symbolizing a trade and a way of life. How do we experience the time that passes between two moments? How do we inhabit these non-places that, like a ladder, are not meant to be inhabited?
Manel Rosés Moretó, an acrobat born in Barcelona and trained at DOCH Stockholm, combines body and play to explore the human dimension of circus, seeking an emotional connection with the audience. Since 2010, he has worked on productions such as InTarsi (Circ "eia") and "Escalada" (Cirque du Soleil). A co-founder of Soon Circus Company, he stands out with the internationally award-winning "Gregaris". Always evolving, he delves into various performing arts disciplines.
