Participatory art project that sets the challenge of creating a museum of memories
The ‘Museum of Time’ is a participatory art project that combines street theater, narration and music. It has its origins in the novel ‘Momo’ (1973) by Michael Ende and it invites us to reflect on time, memory and territorial identity, using mediation and participation. In effect, participants will choose an essential object from their life that holds a memory, a past time. They will then walk the streets of Igualada to protect these memories. Memories that will be kept in a box and will be buried, in a public ceremony. Memories that will leave a trace: a map, where the location of each memorabilia object and its own history will be marked, so that the public will be able to walk and rediscover the town through these memories, turning this project into a collective ‘Museum of Time’.
